You’re not the only man who feels conscious and low about the size of your penis. It’s completely acceptable and normal to sometimes have doubts about whether you’re “large enough” or to desire some extra length and girth; in fact, many men do.

A rather fancy term frequently appears on social media, where groups of men claim that by consistently doing jelqing, they can successfully elongate their penis. Gym guys who repeatedly strain their muscles to grow muscles in their arms, legs, and other body parts may have inspired this idea. But do the muscles of the penis function in the same way? Let’s find out what jelqing is in the next section.

What is Jelqing?

Jelqing is an exercise where you use your fingers to massage your semi-erect penis, creating tiny tears in the muscles that support the penile shaft. As these tears heal, the penis supposedly becomes longer and thicker.

Applying pressure and pulling on the penis during the jelqing exercises is supposed to lengthen and thicken it. Its history can be traced back to 200 years ago in the ancient Middle East, and the effectiveness of this practice is still a topic of much debate. Penis jelqing is believed to enlarge the penis’ size and circumference in the following ways:

  • The theory is that pulling and squeezing train the penis to hold more and more blood during an erection by increasing blood flow to the penis.
  • The other theory is that pulling and other movements cause tiny tears in the penile tissue, and as new cells are formed to fill in these tears, the penis grows in size.

What is the Average Size of Penis of a Man in India?

According to a study, an Indian man’s penis typically measures 1 to 3 inches when it is not erect, and between 5.1 and 5.5 inches when erect.

According to a survey in 2018, most males (66 percent) stated that their penis was average, and 12 percent of respondents said their penis was small. Surprisingly, research shows that men are much more likely than most women to worry about their penis size. Only 55 percent of males reported being content with their penis size. Additionally, nearly 50 percent of the males who participated in the poll (45 percent) said they would like a larger penis. However, the survey indicates that 85 percent of women are satisfied with their male partner’s penis size.

Yet, guys are dissatisfied with the size of their penis. As a result, several men have been suffering from “little penis syndrome” or “small penis anxiety,” and they are seeking out sexologists or andrologists to request longer penises. In other words, while wanting a longer penis is common among men, it is not considered necessary by women partners.
